Eight things that have to happen on every residential job. Six of them are in the build today, in one place and off one set of numbers, so nothing gets retyped and nothing drifts. The two marked planned are not.

01 — Takeoff

Measure without printing anything

Drop in the PDF, set the scale from one dimension you can read off the sheet, and start clicking. Areas, lengths, counts and volumes accumulate into named measurements you can rename, recolor and reuse. Every number stays linked to the region of the drawing it came from, so when the architect issues a revision you re-measure the part that changed instead of starting over.

02 — Estimating

Assemblies do the arithmetic

A linear foot of exterior wall isn't one item, it's studs, plate, sheathing, wrap, insulation, fasteners and the hours to stand it. Build that recipe once and every future job that has exterior wall gets it right. Change a markup rate and the whole estimate recalculates, including the jobs you haven't sent yet.

A bid that looks like a business

Your logo, your terms, the level of detail you choose to show, printed or saved as a PDF from the browser. Planned Sending it for signature, and being told when it is signed.

04 — Purchasing

Orders straight from the estimate

Turn the material side of a priced job into POs per supplier. What's ordered, what's delivered and what's still owed stays attached to the job.

05 — Scheduling · Pro

A programme the crew will read

Build it from the trades already in your estimate, then adjust. Tasks chain to each other, weekends are skipped, and anything overdue and unfinished is outlined in red.

06 — Costs

Budget against actual, weekly

Invoices, timesheets and variations land against estimate categories. Tell it how far along each trade is and it forecasts the final cost — so margin erosion shows up while there is still time to do something about it.

07 — Invoicing

Progress claims without the maths

Claim by percentage of each category, cumulative to date, so a claim bills the difference from the last one rather than the same work twice. Retention held back and totalled. Exports as CSV for your accounting file.

08 — Variations

Changes that get paid for

Price the change and record the approval before the work happens, against the budget and the contract. The most common reason a good job loses money.
